About CLBL

The Central Loudoun Basketball League (CLBL) is a recreational basketball league for boys and girls in grades 1 through 12 in the Heritage High School, Loudoun County High School, and Tuscarora High School attendance districts.  CLBL also supports the teams representing JL Simpson Middle School, Smarts Mill Middle School, and Harper Park Middle School in the PRCS Middle School Travel League.  Each season, CLBL serves over 1,600 players in the Leesburg, VA area of Loudoun County.

The Youth House League is a recreational league for grades 1 - 8.  CLBL strives to place every registrant on a team, however, optimum team size (8-10 per team depending on age) and number of coach applicants are the driving factors for how many players we can accommodate in each league.  Some registrants may be placed on a waitlist until we receive the proper number of qualified coach applicants - this is usually a temporary situation to ensure proper team size.  You will be notified when to complete registration.  If CLBL can not accommodate your registrant, you will receive a full refund of any monies paid. All house league players must attend a skills evaluation, usually held in early to mid-September.  Coaches draft their own teams.

The Travel League is for players in grades 6 through 8 seeking a more advanced level of basketball play.  There can be up to five teams (Boys 6th, Boys 7th, Boys 8th, Girls "A", and Girls "B") from each middle school (Harper Park MS, J. L. Simpson MS and Smart's Mill MS.)  Tryouts are generally conducted in mid- to late September.  The league itself is managed by Loudoun County PRCS.

The High School League has five divisions - Boys 9th Grade, Boys 10th Grade, Boys 11th Grade, Boys 12th Grade and Girls High School (covering grades 9 through 12) - and has been the fastest-growing segment of CLBL over the past three years.
